FYI, I will be attempting some of these "solutions" in 2 weeks when I return to the site of the PC using U-Verse having this issue (my Dads home).

"Resolving Host" is making the new Microsoft Edge unusable. Updated to new version of Edge a couple weeks ago and am looking for a way to 'downgrade' to the old version or recommendations for a non-chromium based, secure browser.

For the last few months, every time I go to load a new web page, I get Resolving Host in the bottom left corner of my browser and nothing happens for 5-7 seconds. I'm running Windows 10 on two different laptops and the same thing happens on both. I have Shaw Internet 600. Once the page begins to load, it loads quickly and my SpeedTest checks out. My MacBook sometimes can't connect to the internet. Chrome displays "Resolving host" but a web page doesn't appear. Safari also doesn't work. Interestingly, sometimes Google seems to work as the only web page (also auto complete in Google).
